Funeral for a Friend (and a great Patriot)

Last updated on March 5, 2023

On July 24th 2021, my good friend Cynthia Brown of Coos Bay passed away in her sleep.

I first met Cynthia back in 2014 when she began attending our Coos County III% meetings with her husband Sam. They quickly became a cornerstone of the group and Cynthia eventually became my assistant coordinator. Cynthia worked tirelessly on things related to politics & preparedness. She kind of became a surrogate mother for many of us and always had her camera ready to document our events.

It was a shock to learn of her death as she was only 62 years old, and as Sam told me, “her family seemed to live forever”. Cynthia was a great Patriot, but more importantly, she was my friend. When I lost my job last year and went on the road for a while, she was one of only three people to contact me to see how I was doing. I’ll miss you Cynthia.

Services will be held at Coos Bay Chapel (685 Anderson Ave. in Coos Bay, next to the library) on Monday August 16th at 11am. Sam has asked that anyone who knew Cynthia or would like support a fellow patriot attend. With the new mask mandate already in effect, the funeral home will most likely be requiring them. Cynthia would be disgusted by this, so I encourage people to take theirs off as a sign of respect for her. Please attend if you can, she deserves it.
