The Barbecue Rebellion

Last updated on March 5, 2023

If you’ve been paying attention online, you might have noticed the story of Adamson Barbecue and its owner, Adam Skelly, who has refused to comply with the COVID-19 lockdown in Toronto. Rebel News has been covering the story and is continuing to post daily updates.

On 11/27, Mr. Skelly was arrested by Toronto Police after he re-entered his business in defiance of their orders. The City of Toronto had actually gone in the night before and changed the locks on the building so he couldn’t reopen.

We can easily compare this to what is happening all across the country. There are multiple businesses in Coos Bay/North bend that have defied the current lockdown order from Governor Brown. So far, no enforcement action has been taken, that we are aware of. During the prior lockdown, Kozy Kitchen in Coos Bay was fined for their defiance.

This needs to go out as a warning to all local businesses. The powers that be WILL use their mandates to destroy your business. Oregon has already lost thousands of businesses. Whether these people are complicit in the fraud surrounding COVID-19, or just useful idiots, the result will be the same.

Everyone needs to stand up like Mr. Skelly has. Everyone needs to support the local businesses listed below. The Barbecue Rebellion is just beginning.

-The Stock Pot, Coos Bay

-Kaffe 101, Coos Bay

-Sara J Coffee, Coos Bay

-Coastal Fitness Center, Coos Bay

-Alder Smokehouse, North Bend
